Configuring DNS with DNS Jumper
DNS Jumper is a handy portable tool to quickly switch DNS on your computer. The utility works with the following operating systems: Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP and does not require additional settings in the system.
Run the utility, select your preferred server from the
DNS server list (for example, Google Public DNS) and click the
Apply DNS button.
Configuring DNS with YogaDNS

DNS setup in Windows 10, 8.1, 8
1. To open the
Network and Sharing Center (also available from
Control Panel> Network and Internet ), press the Windows+ key combination Rand in the Run window enter the following command and click
OK:
control.exe /name Microsoft.NetworkandSharingCenter
2. Under
View basic network information and configure connections, select the network to
Connect.
3. In the window that opens, select
Properties.
4. In the properties window for the connection, from the
Components checked by this connection list, select
IP version 4 (TCP / IPv4) in Windows 10 or
Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP / IP) and click
Properties.
5. In the window that opens, on the
General tab, select the
Use the following DNS server addresses item.
6. Enter your chosen DNS addresses, for example Comss.one DNS or Google DNS, in the Preferred DNS server and Alternative DNS server fields (depending on the selected service, the field may remain empty).
7. Check the
Confirm settings on exit checkbox and click
OK to save the changes.
Update the DNS cache as follows:
- Right-click the Windows icon (Start menu) and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin)
- Enter the command ipconfig /flushdnsand press the Enter key
- Restart your computer.
Configuring DNS in Windows 7
1. Right-click on the Internet icon in the tray, select
Network and Sharing Center.
2. In the
View active networks section, select the item to the right of
Connections:

General tab
, in the
Connection Status window, click the
Properties button.
4. On the
Networking tab of the connection properties window, scroll down and select
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4), click the
Properties button.
5. On the General tab of the Properties window, at the bottom, select
Use the following DNS server addresses, and then enter the IP addresses of the selected DNS service, such as Google DNS.
6. Check the
Confirm settings on exit checkbox and click
OK to save the changes.
Update the DNS cache as follows:
- Click the Start menu > type cmd in the "Find programs and files" field> right-click on the link found and select Run as administrator
- In the Command Prompt, enter a command ipconfig /flushdnsand press the Enter key.
- Restart your computer.
Configuring DNS in Windows XP
- From the Start menu, open Control Panel .
- In the Control Panel window> select Network Connections , then select the current connection.
- On the General tab in the Connection Status window , click the Properties button.
- On the General tab of the Connection Properties window, scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP / IP), then click Properties.
- On the General tab of the Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) Properties window, at the bottom, select Use the following DNS server addresses, and then enter the IP addresses of the selected DNS service, such as Google DNS.
- Click OK and close all windows.
Configuring DNS in Windows Vista
- From the Start menu, open Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, select Network and Sharing Center.
- In the Network section, select View the status of each connection.
- On the General tab in the Connection Status window, click the Properties button.
- On the Networking tab connection properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4), click the Properties button.
- On the General tab of the Properties window, at the bottom, select Use the following DNS server addresses, and then enter the IP addresses of the selected DNS service, Google DNS.
- Click OK and close all windows.
