On November 13, 67-year-old Leila received a telegram from a certain Olga, who warned her about a call from the FSB — a medical college teacher thought that the director was writing to her. After a while, the woman really got a call — Vadim Viktorovich Kupriyanov from the FSB. He said that Leila allegedly transferred money to an organization banned in Russia.

In the morning of the next day, there was another call – this time from an "employee" of the Central Bank. On his advice, Leila went to the bank to apply for a loan of 1.1 million rubles, then to transfer the money to a secure account. The last part of the plan failed: while Leila was running to the ATM, she was hit by a car.

Fraudsters were not confused by this – while the woman was lying in the Botkin hospital, a "grandmother" came to her emergency room, who calmly and without any problems took the money from Leila, who was shocked by the hit-and-run.
