Can anyone tell me what the checks are that Liqpay carry out before verifying a card to allow it to be used for a payment through them?

Do they contact the bank? The owner of the card, etc.?

They verify all cards with billing address. They do check the bank as well.

If i have a cvv. billing address with the VBV password, and maybe enrolled as well, could it pass verification?

there is good antifraud system , u need to have gsm number and DOB but i dont believe taht you wiil make this )

Liqpay definitely call to issuing bank and check your credentials even if you pass vbv and microdeposits. They ask for DOB and may ask something else. Like PESEL in case of polish cards etc.

sviborg is right.... this week i bought with my legal visa card 135$ of wmz. the transaction was faster than i thought. you need 3 important things:
1. tel number where u can receive sms
2. online banking account to check the minideposit sum
3. all the cardholder information (DOB, SSN...)
after the transaction was made you should get in a few minutes a phone call from liqpay then from you bank operator to approve the transaction
if all goes well, you will be successfull

this it how it goes.
you need phone number to get dynamic passes. after that you need to enroll a credit card, they charge a random amount between 1-3euro or something like that. afterwards they call you and ask your dob to verify with bank. now you`re good to go.

2 weeks ago i made a test payment thru liqpay with my real visa. I send 100 EUR, they made a minideposit to verify the op and everything was done in 30 minutes. Next day i send 500 EUR and they hold it for checking purposes. I asked them on livechat what happens to my money and they told me that they sended a fax to my bank to verify op. 2 days ago i called my bank and ask if they verified the fax from liqpay and my bank says they never got one. After that i talk again with liqpay and now thay say that verification check failed and they will return the money to my card in 5 to 6 days. As well they sended me a letter with a code to my home address for verification what will take arround 2 weeks.
My recommendation: If u need to pay something fast online with creditcard and it costs more than 100 EUR dont use liqpay, they will hold ur funds for nearly 1 month.
