The account of the administrator of the telegram channel Shiba Inu, using the pseudonym Ragnar Shib, was hacked by hackers to fake the distribution of BONE tokens. The true owner has already restored access to the account.

On October 4, unknown people published a message on behalf of the channel administrator Shiba Inu, stating that the project team intends to reward all owners, supporters and creators of this meme cryptocurrency. The attackers encouraged users to participate in the free distribution of BONE tokens by posting a link to a phishing site.

However, the most vigilant community members took control of the situation in time and warned users that the Ragnar Shib account was compromised. A member of the Shiba Inu ecosystem under the nickname Vet Kusama announced that no BONE distribution is being held, advising no one to follow suspicious links.

Recently, Ragnar Shib wrote on Twitter that his Telegram account is safe again: he transferred everything to a new phone and changed the password to a more secure one. And the Twitter account has two-factor authentication and is therefore secure. Ragnar Shib recommended that users change their passwords more often to avoid such situations.

My account in Telegram is secure again. I moved all to a brand new phone. I changed password for new and more secure ones. My Twitter account too and all has 2FA. Please be safe every one!!! Change passwords periodically. https://t.co/spHTSMGxV9 — RagnarShib.eth (@RagnarShiba) October 5, 2023

Some members of the Shiba Inu community noted that if hackers try to organize so-called token distributions, this indicates an increase in the community's interest and involvement in the cryptocurrency project. Therefore, concerned users suggested that the Shiba Inu team form a separate cybersecurity unit to prevent hacking of accounts in the future.
