Investigators of the Federal Security Service of the Chelyabinsk region opened criminal cases against a 20-year-old resident of the region, who was engaged in hacking personal accounts of users of various Internet services, including state institutions and banking systems.

The young man, using special software for unauthorized access, copying and modification of computer information, not only hacked accounts, but also resold the stolen data through the Telegram messenger.

According to the channel's data 74.RU, during his illegal activities, he managed to gain access to about a thousand identifiers. Officially, the young man did not work anywhere, but received income from the sale of personal data.

The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Chelyabinsk region initiated criminal cases under Part 1 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of Russia (illegal access to computer information) and Part 2 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of Russia (creation, use and distribution of malicious computer programs). A resident of Chelyabinsk faces up to five years in prison.
